The rotary components in wind power plants can be precisely positioned for the purpose of optimum generation of wind power only with the help of high-resolution sensors and rotary encoders. To connect the rotary encoders, MK and BK series torsion angle resistant couplings are required to transmit the measurement results accurately. In addition, the couplings must be durable enough to withstand the environmental conditions in on and offshore wind power plants over their service life.
In addition to shocks and vibrations and contact with abrasive, soiled agents such as salty sea air and lubricants, there is often also the -40°C to +100°C operating temperature range requirement.
